Description: A brand manifesto is one of the hardest pieces of writing in marketing. It has to capture what a company believes, why it exists, and where it's going, in language that's clear enough for a general audience and credible enough for specialists. For Pachama, operating at the intersection of climate science, technology, and finance, that bar was particularly high.

I wrote Pachama's manifesto as the cornerstone of its 2024 rebrand, a foundational document that gave the refreshed brand its voice and articulated the company's leadership position in nature-based carbon solutions.

The manifesto became central to Pachama's strengthened market narrative. Shortly after the rebrand, Pachama was acquired by Carbon Direct and included in the Symbiosis Coalition, outcomes that the clarity of that brand story helped make possible.
